Many thanks to make us available this fantastic tool for free. I used this after an unbrick procedure for a ST3500320AS Seagate hard disk (SD15 firmware fails and disk become inaccessible, unbrick procedure is described elsewhere) . Partitions were EXT3 formatted and I could access all the data and make backup from my desktop XP sp3 PC.The tool is clear, transparent interface and really high speed recovering files and directories.I recommend this tool. Thanks Ni
My NAS suddenly wouldn\'t allow the drives to be accessed. When I attemped to administer the NAS it wanted to \"FORMAT\" the drives ... no way.I removed the HDDs and placed them in a USB cradle and they registed, phew. But, they weren\'t Windows format ...This software allowed the Linux Native volume\'s to be read from a Win XP environment. The process of \"copying\" (it may be doing more for recovery) the files out is labourious (almost 2TB across both drives), but at least I am able to do so.
I was able to download the Linux Reader in order to snag some files off of a non working linux partition. I had run an update and temporarily lost the use of my Linux OS. I needed some files in a pinch. I\'ve save many Windows partitions with live Linux tools. This time it was the other way around.
Seems like a good product, it does what it is suppose to do. I believe that linux has far better support for reading differnt partion types.
Wonderful utility, it let me recover my files from a failed ext2 drive using Windows, and it managed to recover everything when a $40 program wouldn't.
Hi, very effective application. I ,ve eached my ext3 linux volumes just like 1 click. Thanks

The unregistered version did locate and list all my lost files. However, I was never able to register the product, so I could not save any data.Repeated attempts to reach tech support (email, phone and live chat) failed. I gave up and used another program. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
I feel very satisfied with the simple interface, and I have been able to recover precious data from a damaged Linux partition.
It does not recover nothing... ... and sees no deleted folder
Does what it says on the box Very easy to use, just remember to start it up as a root user and it runs very quickly and smoothly.Even though other search results on the internet say you can't recover deleted EXT3 files this program recovered over 60 GIG of files for me that a malicious hacker deleted from my hard drive. If your a novice you may have difficulty in setting yourself up as a root user, especially in Ubuntu
program freezes I have a hard disk problem and used Knoppix to boot the machine. Unfortunately, none of ther usual Linux tools seem to fix the problem. So, I downloaded andinstalled your program to see what it could do; but it just froze when I started it on my laptop, i.e. I could not make any selections in the menu or press anyof the bottoms. I would lıke to try and recover my data before I reformat the disk. Do you have any advice? Thanks!Christian

Failed to recover EXT3 after reformat. I purchased both the windows and Linux versions of Linux Data Recovery and neither performed as claimed. They could not recover an EXT3 partition which had been reformatted.I spent just under $100.00 for the two versions and neither worked, not even one byte was recovered. Very disappointing indeed.
The comment from a linux user. I am a Linux user and I destroyed all my data while installing the gentoo linux, which I am not familiar with. I know your software in google and the introducing word is really appealing. But I am sorry to see the result that it fail to recover any my data. I ran it in Windows and were disappointed with the result that it find "lost+found" folder only... Is that a joke?
Does not work on linux I tried the linux version of the linux recovery software. There was an error dealing with the Qt threads that caused the program to hang. Would have been very helpful had it worked
Very Good Software Very good recovery software does exactly what it says on the box

I had an earlier copy of Help Explorer and was satisfied. Now I wanted a new copy for other system and downloaded 3.0 suposedly for several Linux versions including Red Hat, but could not install, the script asked for KDE specific folders (my systems are CENTOS Gnome). Did not pursue further the matter.
This worked fine for me I had some files writen in odt file and the down load was easy and installed its self with out any complications.John Allen
I searched for chm viewer Linux and found your program. All information I found indicated "free download" and stuff like that. After downloading and installing it said something about "trial version". So I spent ten minutes trying to find what that meant. When I found that the real version would cost me something like $50, I deleted the trial version before starting it the first time. kchmviewer does the job and is included in my OS.
I am intersted in getting a help explorer type program that will work with Ubuntu Linux, however when I follow the link to download the Linux version I am confronted with I believe to be a Russian page which I am unable to go further with the download....jrclat
HelpExplorer for Linux Do not display hlp file with cnt file associated :(Good for chm :)
Unpleasant surprise Hi,I've tried to install & run your viewer yesterday, but I was unpleasantly surprised - nothing happened (no window appeared or any STDOUT or STDERR message was shown), after I run it (why is the installation process asking for a PATH directory anyway? There is no much use for a PATH link, called "help" in BASH - it has it's own (preferred) program, called help already. As I have never seen this program running, I don't really feel competent to answer questions below.

Sorry not installed. Although I downloade the paragon file I never actually got to use it - system crashed and I had to re-install ubutu. If I download again will be happy to report on the software.
P.S. Used paragon software for windows and it is a good product. Regards.
First time Linux - not impressed I appreciate a lot of work has gone into this OS but as a complete newbie I found it very unfriendly. While I hate MS, I must say that in some ways it is more user fiendly than Linux. I tried [several] Linux OS because I needed to boot up my laptop with a dead boot disc & recover some recent files. Hence I needed to get an OS system that 1] ran from a CD 2] read my NTFS drive & 3] wrote to my USB memory stick. To be honest I cannot remember for sure [I have tried about 4 versions of Linux!], but ...
